Morgan Agren recorded a good album with swedish prog band Kaipa ("Keyholder", 2003). That was my first exposure to him and I got very impressed with his powerful and virtuoso playing. He has his own project, called Mats Morgan (along with Mats Oberg, a keyboard player), with strong Zappa influences.

He is also on Fredrick Thordendale's solo album which is very cool.

As mentioned above, Thomas Haake is another great swedish drummer who has a style completely his own with his band Meshuggah.

The samples on Drum Kit From Hell are AMAZING! Sonor drums with new Sabian cymbals... all top of the line and recorded at all sorts of velocities and even both hands for realism.
If only I could figure out how to use the damn thing! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
